José Mourinho Set to Join Fenerbahce After Roma Sacking
Former Chelsea and Manchester United Manager to Sign Two-Year Deal
Mourinho has won five European finals out of five during his illustrious career
José Mourinho is reportedly set to join Turkish club Fenerbahce after being sacked by Roma in January. The 61-year-old Portuguese manager is expected to sign a two-year deal with an option for a further year.
Mourinho is one of the most successful managers in world football, having won numerous trophies with Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, and Manchester United. He is best known for his pragmatic and defensive style of play, which has earned him the nickname "The Special One.".
Mourinho was sacked by Roma in January after a poor run of results. The Italian club is currently eighth in Serie A, 14 points behind leaders Napoli.
Fenerbahce are currently third in the Turkish Super Lig, seven points behind leaders Galatasaray. The Turkish club is looking to appoint a new manager after sacking Jorge Jesus in December.
If Mourinho joins Fenerbahce, it will be his first job since being sacked by Roma. The Portuguese manager is expected to be unveiled as the new Fenerbahce manager in the coming days.
